BECCA'S STORY

Being faced with my senior year and having to make a lot of big decisions regarding graduate school and graduation itself leaves me making some hard decisions, yet deciding to jump on board with Lift The Mask was easy.

Going to such a large university is a daunting task for anyone and is even harder when you have not found your niche, but it can be even harder for someone struggling with mental health issues. When I came to college, I was on a sports team and unaware of my anxiety and depression. As I gave up sports and had an abundance of free time it was difficult for me to find friends and feel like I fit in somewhere and inevitably struggled a lot.

I eventually found friends who provided a great deal of support to me in various forms, despite losing some along the way, and I want to be a source of support for people who need it, whether it is advice or just for a sarcastic comment or a funny meme to cheer people up.
